My boyfriend had an online dating profile

He said he had a day where he was freaked out by our relationship and updated his profiles but had never replied, or sent and emails to anyone. I liked his photo's that he had taken of various subjects and sent him a message,we live in different countries. He also swears he had never met anyone but just did it and it was a stupid mistake. Well we got talking and corresponded regularly through skype and email etc.I was so unhappy because i liked him so much and i thought with the things he said to me that he was serious about me too.I know its not easy having a relaionship with someone in another country, but I was prepared to wait for him until we could sort out something permanent together.Kind, sweet, considerate and told me everyday how lucky he was to have me in his life, how beautiful I was and how he had such strong feelings for me. One day, two weeks ago, I asked to see his phone, to look up a local band.By the time I had it in my hand and had pushed the google search, I was a bit shocked to see come up on the main page. My heart fell to my stomach as I saw his profile, with updated pictures since we had been dating[ from a month ago!!!!!! His relationship status stated: "I will tell you later"!My BF and I met online 5 mo ago and we became really close in this short time.

I am a smart woman that feels so lost in this entire situation! He's had these profiles for about 5 years and said he could never seem to find anyone, although he has met girls from these sites. Not working outside of the house means he's bored at home,so i would make a lot of effort to chat to him all day to try and keep him from being lonely, even though it's not easy as I work 6 days a week.I made a lot of effort with the conversation and tried to keep him interested with things i had seen on the internet it was no good, nothing could keep him off them.Don't assume that he'll learn a lesson by confessing. Don't assume that his parents can shame him into being a better guy.

Hi Meredith, I have been with my husband for 12 years, and married for almost 10. A few months after my second one was born, I happened upon a dating site left open on my husband's laptop. We have never had a great sex life because of issues on both sides.
